Yep, we’re here at the halfway mark, or soon near it. How’s it going for you? Are you on target to reach your growth goals for the year, behind, or ahead of the game? There’s no right answer, tho we can agree being behind is not the ideal situation. There’s always room for improvement, and as I find myself saying and living continuously – the best thing about small biz is that we are nimble!
SO - If it’s NOT working, get up and do something about it. Brain dump on the whiteboard, throw things on the wall, give it a go, be bold (make sure you have cash flow and capital first), and pick yourself up if it doesn’t work the first time and try again. You either win or learn (thank you, Nelson Mandela for this one) so dust your shoulders off and get better at that thing you do, which eventually, through continued improvements, will create space and freedom for oneself. It’s possible to do work you love while having fun and making $$, speaking from experience - but you gotta put in your dues first!
Enjoy the other side, once you get there, it’s well worth the work and the growing pains along the way. PS: the growing pains never stop, they just take different forms but the rewards are richer along the journey…
